Stories of Our Lives, a non-profit organization, was founded by Phillips Exeter Academy student Yooha Park. Yooha was always interested in writing and the lives of people so she began to talk to residents in assisted/independent living communities. She interviewed them about their lives as a way to help them remember their memories and created scrapbooks for them.
Stories of Our Lives aims to provide a bridge between the younger generation and seniors by creating a nexus to share their thoughts and feelings. For the seniors, Stories of Our Lives lets them think about and celebrate their lives through memories that Stories of Our Lives hopes to rekindle. For the younger generation, Stories of Our Lives provides the students advice and thoughts about to live their future.
Stories of Our Lives also hopes to be a small light among the digital age of the 21st century by sharing the thoughts and feelings of seniors via handmade scrapbooks filled with warmth from the younger generation.
Since 2010, Yooha has spread Stories of Our Lives to several different assisted living communities and hospices in Georgia and New Hampshire.
